Meet Your Instructor
Mr. Jigjiddorj Nanzaddorj, a conductor and concertmaster of the Mongolian State Morin Khuur Ensemble, is a well-known virtuoso morin khuurist. While he is the "Amateur Morin Khuur Players' Contest" judge this year, he is also the instructor of the master class to teach you about the skills, techniques, and secrets of the morin khuur that he accumulated over the years of playing and performing experience.
He graduated as a professional Morin khuur player at the Mongolian State Conservatory in 2003-2013 as well as an orchestral conducting from 2018-2020. He has worked at the Morin Khuur Ensemble of Mongolia since 2008 and has solo performed dozens of works and music compositions by Mongolian and foreign composers. He’s performed on many world-renowned stages, including ‘Bolshoi Theater’, Russia, ‘China National Grand Theater’ of Beijing, China, UNESCO Hall in Paris, France and UN Hall in New York, USA.
