Morin Khuur Center in North America (MKCNA)

"The First Morin Khuur Festival in the USA" has been successfully organized in collaboration with "Khuurchiinkhan" morin khuur learning center in US and the Mongolian Cultural Organization at the University of Michigan. During the first festival, we realized how all the morin khuur enthusiasts want to grow as a community, learn, understand, and promote the culture through morin khuur in US. The "Morin Khuur Center in North America" (MKCNA) founded based on the willingness of these people in 2020.

The MKCNA's main focus is the Morin Khuur Festival in the USA, which has started from an idea to have a small gathering among few amateur morin khuur players in the USA in 2018. The idea grew bigger by adding different activities to the gathering and it turns out to be in a scale of festival, so we ended up officially calling it festival. During "The First Morin Khuur Festival in USA", efforts of the participants exceeded our expectations, and inspired to host the festival biannually. We also organize, host, and participate in other events such as virtual concerts, cultural shows, etc.
